So the big art show opened last night.  I must admit I have been a nervous wreck about this show.  For some reason I had decided to base my decision of changing my major to painting on this show.  I know, it’s a little crazy, but I tend to set big goals for myself.  Here’s a pic of me with my painting titled “The reflection from Cindi Lauper’s bathroom mirror…

Do you see that bit of purple on the right hand side?  That’s the award it received.  The Honorable Mention Award, sponsored by the WNMU museum.  My prize?  A book.  Seriously.  And I am going to keep it forever as the first prize I have ever won for art.  Now here’s a couple of more photos of the show…

So, overall, I think the show went grand.  I got a wee prize and now feel personally justified in entering a field where most graduates end up bussing tables… Congrats to all the entries and to all the winners! 

 

Finally…
